Fencing & Deck Sales Representative

Location: Danville, CA, with in-person customer appointments throughout the San Francisco East Bay.

Bring your sales experience to a role focused on fences and decks. At SG Construction Company, you'll help homeowners explore improvements to their outdoor spaces while earning a base salary plus 10% commission on gross margin.

SG Construction builds outdoor living spaces for homeowners throughout the San Francisco East Bay. Established in 2009, the company's services include decks, fences, pergolas, and other backyard improvements, with an emphasis on craftsmanship and clear customer communication.

About the Role

As a Fencing & Deck Sales Representative, you'll focus on selling residential fence and deck projects. You'll connect with homeowners, understand what they want to accomplish, and help them move toward a project that fits their needs. Previous sales experience is required; construction experience is preferred. If you bring sales experience from another industry, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell residential fencing and deck projects.
• Speak with homeowners about their project goals and priorities.
• Explain available fence and deck options clearly.
• Answer customer questions and coordinate with the team when technical input is needed.
• Follow up with prospective customers and communicate next steps.
• Share customer needs and project information with the construction team.

Required Qualifications

• Previous sales experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
• Ability to listen to customer needs and explain relevant options.
• Reliable follow-through with customers and the team.
• Construction industry experience is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 employment
• Base salary: $50,000 per year.
• Commission Structure: The position includes a $50,000 annual base salary plus a commission of 10% of gross profit on qualifying projects sold. Commissions will be calculated based on the final project gross profit and paid after the project is completed and final payment has been collected from the customer, subject to our written commission agreement.
• Benefits and Vehicle Arrangements: This position will require travel to customer appointments, job sites, and other business-related locations. We can discuss mileage reimbursement or vehicle arrangements with qualified candidates. Any additional benefits or incentives will be confirmed during the hiring process.
